This is one of the first songs I've ever written. I woke up to it... tune, lyrics and all. I think a lot about this subject, for better or worse!

I was incredibly fortunate to record this version of One Foot In The Grave with Renee Harcourt (of Blame Sally and Dear John Love Renee). She took me under her wing, and into her studio to produce this song with me, adding (among other things!), her awesome and unmistakable-Renee-style slide and electric guitar elements! I'm eternally grateful to her for her loving mentoring, extreme skill and ridiculous hospitality.
